1. Accounts
You create an account via Discord OAuth. You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your Discord account secure. Each account receives a unique Account ID used to identify you in tournament requests, rosters, and support matters.
2. Tournament Participation
Registering a team or joining a tournament through Cartanians means you agree to that tournament's specific rules, published on its page, in addition to these general terms. The tournament host reviews every join request manually — submitting a request does not guarantee entry.
3. Hosting Tournaments
Any registered user can create and host tournaments. Hosts are responsible for the rules, prize promises, registration review, bracket management, and dispute handling of tournaments they create. Promising prizes you cannot or will not deliver, running fraudulent events, or abusing your host role is a serious violation and may result in suspension or removal of your account and tournaments.
4. Fair Play
Smurfing, account sharing, match-fixing, harassment of other players, hosts, or staff, and circumventing bans are all grounds for suspension or removal from the platform and from active tournaments, at the tournament host's or Cartanians admins' discretion.
5. Content You Submit
Team names, logos, and profile information you upload must be yours to use and must not be offensive, infringing, or impersonating another person or organization. Hosts may remove content from their tournaments, and Cartanians admins may remove content that violates these terms.
6. Disputes & Results
Match disputes are decided by the tournament host once the host has approved at least one of the two teams. Cartanians admins serve as final arbiters in case of a disagreement with a host decision. Once a dispute is closed, results are final.
7. Account Actions
Cartanians staff and admins may suspend or ban accounts that violate these terms or a tournament's rules. Admin and host actions are logged for accountability. Decisions on disputes, results, and eligibility are final.
8. Changes
These terms may be updated as Cartanians grows. Continued use of the platform after a change means you accept the updated terms.
